How does it work?

Through tools such as self-exploration, inquiry, reflection, mindfulness and meditation, we will uncover the cause of suffering and unveil the apparent barriers to happiness and peace.  In doing so, symptoms of depression, anxiety and relationship distress often naturally dissipate. You may also discover that beneath the experience of unhappiness and discontent,  you are inherently well-and at ease.

You don't have to live a life of suffering.....

  Mindfulness Based Therapy

can help

This video offers a brief introduction to Mindfulness Meditation with Jon Kabat-Zinn.

According to Jon Kabat-Zinn, a leading teacher and researcher in the field of Mindfulness,  mindfulness is  paying attention to the present moment without judgement.

Essentially, mindfulness is a practice that helps us develop awareness of our internal world of thoughts, feelings and sensations and teaches us how to observe these with openness. This is a subtle, but powerful awareness and helps us to create space between thought-impulse and reaction.

Mindfulness based therapies often teach meditation as a basic skill for cultivating compassion within yourself and to learn to move through life’s challenges and transitions with grace and ease.

What is Mindfulness Based Therapy?

A mindfulness based approach to therapy effectively redirects one's focus away from fearful or anxious thinking towards a natural acceptance of the present moment Through learning and practicing highly effective skills, cultivating this type of awareness of the present moment allows you to observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance rather than feeling pulled into a reactive or habitual response. This provides the space and clarity to truly delve in, explore and resolve current issues and distress.

There are many Benefits of mindful meditation including:

Less stress

Improved mood

Increased self-awareness

Strengthened immune system

Reduced anxiety
