Mindful Heart Counseling Center
Heart Centered Therapy for
Adults & Couples
Meet Kristin Koller, AMFT #110911
I enjoy connecting with college-age and adult individuals who seek relief from grief and loss, stress and anxiety, and relationship concerns. My approach is oriented toward exploring aspects of one's self, values, and purpose in the service of personal growth. I can support you in finding your own solutions to problems and getting unstuck from issues that prevent you from creating a meaningful, fulfilling life.
My work with couples centers around the emotional bond between partners. We will explore how loss, infidelity, and current ways of communicating may compromise your feelings of security and connection and will work on developing new skills that facilitate the intimate, fulfilling relationship you desire.
As an LGBTQ ally, I have a particular interest in providing a safe space for those who identify as gay, queer, trans and/or gender non-conforming.
I feel the utmost gratitude to be entrusted with the intimate details of your life and relationships and am dedicated to being fully present, genuine, and purposeful during our time with one another.
I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with Mindful Heart Counseling Center in San Luis Obispo, CA and work under the supervision of Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Denan Burke.
I received my Master of Science degree in Psychology from Cal Poly and my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Washington State University. Over the last five years, I have been forming therapeutic alliances on the Central Coast through my work with community-based organizations such as CalPoly Counseling Center, Transitions Mental Health, Hospice of SLO County, Family Care Network and San Luis Obispo County Mental Health, offering services to adults, couples, families and children. I have experience with individual and couples counseling, grief therapy and child & family therapy.
